Busy week
It's been a busy last week here at tailwind kennel. The humans packed, repacked, weighed and shipped all of food the team and Jessica will eat out on the trail. Snow Day!
Today the dogs and mushers enjoyed a snow day. Jess and Joan ran the Iditarod team while Anna ran the Jr. Iditarod team and the girls met up out on the trail for some practice trail breaking and mushing in deep snow

Valentines day
This year Sam and I celebrated by spending the day out on the trail with our doggy loves.

Jr. Willow 100
Tailwind Kennel Jr. Musher Anna Coke completed her first 100 mile race. Finishing 4th in the Willow 100, Anna and her team made up of the Cheese Puffs (pups) had a blast and learned a lot. This was also the Cheese's first race and Anna was proud to report the pups did get some sleep and didn't stay up too late playing at the halfway camp. Congratulations to Anna and her team.

Camping
With the Willow 300 Race cancelled due to poor trail conditions (freezing rain), Jessica, Joan and Anna headed out on their own camping adventure. Joan and Anna followed Jessica on a 100 mile camping run while Jessica and the Iditarod team continued on a 300 mile adventure.
